Moving ????'S?

OK me and a friend are about to get our own place or at least we are trying now I'm 18 and my room mate is 20 but he has had trouble w/the law in the past I talked to the leasing office of where we are trying to move and they said that they would combine our income but my room mate is currently not working so my question to u is do u think that I'm going to need a co signer on my lease seeing as how it is my first place and my room mate has been in trouble before and do u think that they will turn us down because I am the only one working (I'm working two jobs so I can afford the place myself)
